I was able to visit Fukui Yoshino Sushi for the first time in about 25 years! Back then, I used to go there often when I had business trips to Hokuriku. The restaurant has become quite sophisticated, and now you order using a touch panel, but many aspects, like the exterior and the inner tatami room, haven't changed much, which made me feel a bit nostalgic. (The biggest change was that the station was filled with dinosaurs.) Although the fresh mackerel and white clam that impressed me back then were not available, the fresh oysters, crabs, abalone, and whelks were all delicious. The prices were not too high, and the billing was clear, so I will visit again the next time I go to Fukui.
The salt liver and the moon-viewing tsukune were very delicious. The sake was reasonably priced, and I think it shows considerable corporate effort to be able to offer it at this price. I will use it again when I visit Fukui.
I was a bit anxious since it was my first time, but the ordered dishes were served quickly, and all the staff were cheerful and polite. There were many young staff members, and their attentive service made for a very pleasant time. The meat was delicious, and the side dishes were good as well. I will definitely come back again.
I made a reservation hoping for a private room, and they prepared a stylish cave-like room for us. The young female staff member was attentive and made our dining experience enjoyable. This was my second time, and just like the last time, I was satisfied with both the price and the deliciousness.

Watching the skilled craftsmanship at the counter makes the meal even more exciting. The tofu with a walnut aroma, combined with sea urchin and wasabi, creates a happy mood right from the start. Each piece of the sashimi platter is fresh and the umami spreads throughout. The dish of boiled white clam has a gentle flavor, allowing the taste of the clam to come through smoothly. The black throat sea perch was beautifully fatty and incredibly delicious. I also enjoyed the local sake, handmade soba, and spicy grated daikon soba, which justifies the Michelin rating.

We visited as a family to celebrate my daughter's birthday on Sunday. The restaurant was already fully booked. The staff member (the wife?) was very pleasant, and the timing of the dishes served was just right. The salad had a good volume compared to other restaurants' lunch menus and was satisfying to eat. The potato and komatsuna soup was also excellent. The main dish of pork felt a bit greasy. They decorated the dessert plate with 'happy birthday' in chocolate, and my daughter was very satisfied. I would like to use this place again.
Dining at the counter was great because I could enjoy the food while watching the cooking process. I was able to eat many dishes made with local ingredients, so it was worth the visit. The atmosphere was also nice, and I was able to relax and enjoy my time.
