A lunchtime story about a popular udon restaurant in Honmachi that is usually marginally better than the rest of the restaurants in the area. Store Information Directly connected to Sakaisuji Honmachi Station. We visited "Udon Shigemi," located on the second basement floor of the Senba Center Building. It is a famous restaurant that would come up within the top five when talking about udon in Osaka. We went there before it opened. There were already several people in line. We entered the restaurant with a full heart! Interior view The restaurant was larger than I expected, with a counter seating 6 and tables seating 16 (subjective). The restaurant opened and was full in no time. I placed my order right away. Dishes Kake Udon Noodle 660 yen As it was my first visit to the restaurant, I went for the simplest and standard menu. Toppings are Raw egg ¥100 Egg and Fried rice cake ¥140 I chose the fried rice cake. I can't get enough of it. Just writing about it reminds me of it. Bon appétit. I can't report well because I haven't had udon for that long... Compared to the previous "Asuro", there is no feature that the noodles are so chewy. They are delicious. Please don't misunderstand me. It's hard to say how to describe it. Like the final form of udon noodles I used to eat at home. Thank you for the food. Price about 900Yen Thank you very much for the food. Yesterday's Lunch #1 I was in the mood for noodles yesterday, so I started off with hiyakekake udon at Udoncho Shigeki in the Semba Center Building. The noodles were firm, but not too hard, and had a nice balance of flavor and iriko broth. I ate it up in no time at all.
