I made a reservation and enjoyed a full course of Echizen crab bliss. Starting with sashimi, then seiko crab, crab sashimi, boiled crab, and crab rice, everything was delicious. The boiled crab was prepared by the staff, so I could enjoy my meal without getting my hands dirty. Since I was the only one not driving, I enjoyed some sake paired with the dishes. I also had grilled mackerel sushi, which was very tasty. I definitely want to go eat there again. Thank you for providing such a wonderful time today.

It is a wonderful 100+ year old tangible cultural property building with an atmosphere of a bygone era. I was impressed by the delicious amaebi (sweet shrimp) tempura I had. We were comfortably surrounded by the kindness of the proprietress, and since there were no other guests, we were able to enjoy our meal in a relaxed atmosphere. We especially enjoyed the local delicacies because of the use of local ingredients. I would definitely visit again next time.
Echizen Gani (Echizen Crab) is one of the most famous restaurants not only in Fukui Prefecture, but also in Japan. The chef, Mikio Omori, has been keeping the restaurant's curtain for many years as the fourth generation and still goes to the market every day to purchase the best quality crabs that he can find with his own eyes. The only way to cook crab is to boil it. He puts his whole heart and soul into this boiling process and pays close attention to the amount of salt. The crab served in this way becomes a super dish with the original flavor of the ingredients condensed.

The café also features playful desserts like dinosaur-themed rice flour cookies and seasonal parfaits, and the outdoor terrace provides a spacious and relaxing atmosphere.
In the evening, we had a drink at a local pub.
This izakaya in Mikuni-cho serves locally brewed sake, locally grown food, and local cuisine 😄.
It is said that celebrities sometimes come here, and it smells like a hidden gem... 😂.
I also enjoyed a glass of sake while eating local delicacies such as heshiko, bai clam, and a snapper version of shime saba (mackerel). ☺️
The next day I was hungover without fail. (I was hungover the next day without fail (lol).
We used it for a farewell party. It was a course for 3,500 yen with a large plate. There were appetizers, fish, and meat dishes, and all the ladies at the party were very satisfied. Since we mentioned it was a farewell party, the owner also gave a gift to the person involved 💮. The location of the restaurant is a bit hard to find, but the parking lot is quite spacious. Inside the restaurant, they made good use of an old house, creating a calm and lovely atmosphere.
