The kamo-don we had at Katsuragi Kogen Lodge was a delicious dish of thinly sliced duck meat stir-fried in a sweet and spicy sauce that was tender yet chewy. The duck meat, beautiful local eggs, and yams combined perfectly to create a rich flavor. The soup was topped with meringue, an interesting dish with a novel visual and firm texture. We spent a luxurious lunch time enjoying the kamodon with a view of the mountains. Katsuragi Kogen Lodge is a wonderful place to taste their famous duck dishes.
