Founded over 40 years ago, Akikatsu is a long-standing establishment that uses red miso directly sourced from a miso brewery in Okazaki, offering renowned tonkatsu. The tonkatsu, fried to a crisp with coarsely ground fresh breadcrumbs, features chewy pork from southern Kyushu, known for its rich flavor. The macaroni salad and miso soup, which enhance the deliciousness of the miso katsu, are also well-received, adding a richer touch to the meal.

Miso Katsu Set Meal I like miso because it is not too sweet and tasty. The miso soup is also good with red miso soup stock, which Toyama residents are not accustomed to. However, the container is not completely made for miso soup, and it is hard to drink because of the thick mouthpiece. That is also good. The cabbage at Katsuya is served with a drizzle of dressing. I'm getting hungry.
