Today's date was lunch at 'Kome Mugi' in Marifu-cho, Iwakuni City. When I visited previously, it was fully booked after 11 o'clock, so this time I made a reservation in advance. The lunch I aimed for, the 'Rice Plate', includes the main dish of 'Whole Onion Meat Cheese Bake', along with salad, six types of small bowls, and soup. You can choose between white rice or mixed grain rice. Everything had a perfect balance of color and seasoning, with a gentle homemade taste that was pleasant. This menu is perfect for those who want to enjoy a variety of dishes little by little. It seems that they have just celebrated their 2nd anniversary, but many regular customers can be seen in the store, indicating that they are rooted in the community. For lunch, there were various seasonal items in small bowls, and I could choose from two types for the main dish, which was served on one plate. It was very easy to eat and delicious. The fluffy coffee jelly for dessert was also tasty. The soft serve ice cream was rich and had a good texture, pairing well with the coffee jelly.
